Lower Cato Falls

18 hole disc golf course (County Park)

6 miles west of Interstate 43 on Hwy JJ

Manitowoc

History

Lower Cato Falls County Park has been a beautiful park for fishing, picnicing and hiking for many years. In 2010 the county parks dept., local businesses, disc golf volunteers and the Transitions Advisory Committee of the Chamber of Manitowoc County teamed up to create a championship layout disc golf course. Five Manitowoc County school districts (Manitowoc, Two Rivers, Valders, Reedsville and Brillion) assisted as well as Sheboygan and Manitowoc disc golfers.

What's New

Both professional and amateur golfers will share the fairways with many of the same elements that make Silver Creek Park in Manitowoc one of the most popular courses in the state of Wisconsin. This effort has continued over the past five years making the course better each and every year.  Park improvements include over 200 trees and 1300 saplings planted, truckloads of chips being spread, new alternate basket placements and a donation tube at hole number one to seed future improvements. Interested basket-bench sponsors and volunteers can send email to discgolf@discoverwisc.com.
